The Hadejia Jama’are River Basin Development Authority was established in 1976 to coordinate various projects under the Hadejia Jama’are River basin. The two TRIMING project sites under this RDBA is the Kano River Irrigation scheme (at Kura) and Tiga, Challawa and Ruwan Kanya rehabilitation all in Kano State and the Hadejia Valley Irrigation scheme, with the Hadejia Barrage rehabilitation in Jigawa State.
